The Design Hero package includes the following:
- Three initial options using Geon Tiles (2D Drawings).
- Two further refinements of your chosen design.
- Final 2D Drawing of your Tile Layout for you or your installer to follow
- List of tiles used in your design for easy online shopping.
- Recommendations and specifications for grout colour.
We try to be really quick over here at Geon, but custom design can sometimes take a bit of time. Everyone's project is unique!
Let us know if you have a specific deadline that you need to meet, and the faster you supply all the information we need to get started on your design, the better.
The scope of work for this service must be reasonable - typically one space per design hero purchase. For example: a bathroom, a backsplash, an entry floor etc. If you have multiple spaces or need to do an entire house please reach out to us directly so we can quote you for your project.
Typical turnaround for a completed tile layout tends to be 5 to 10 business days.
We've been refining this process for a few years, and it works pretty smoothly!
Once you've purchased the Design Hero option, Darcy will email you with a series of questions about your space. He'll be needing dimensions (or drawings if you have those already available), information about the space and what you envision for it as well as which Geon Tiles you are most interested in. And photos are always helpful even if the space isn't how you like it yet!
- Initial Concepts. You'll receive three initial concepts based on the information you've provided, as a pdf via email. These are 2D, colour tile layouts tailored specifically to your space. Examples of past design hero project layouts can be seen here on the Geon Tile website.
- First Revision. Once you've reviewed your three Initial Concepts, your chosen concept will be revised according to your feedback and sent back to you for approval.
- Final revision. If you have any additional feedback or comments those adjustments will be made at this point. Once things have been determined, we’ll complete your final design and send it to you with any special instructions to make this custom vision a reality! Your final 2D drawing package will have all the required information to purchase your tile, including quantities.

We don’t hide that Geon Tile pollutes the planet. Tile is challenging to manufacture in Canada because of limited access to raw materials and pigments. Add to that, it is bulky and heavy, and thus not very efficient to ship. Climate change and its effects are putting humanity’s survival at risk. And the construction industry is one of the largest contributors.
Reducing our environmental impact has been a top priority since day one. Geon Tile has partnered with Climate Smart for accurate measurement, reporting and certification as we work diligently to minimize our footprint. We measure everything that contributes to our carbon footprint, from the factory floor to the packaging that your order arrives in.
As we work to drive our emissions to zero, we believe that we should be held accountable for our environmental impact. So until we reach our goal of zero, we’re taxing ourselves for the carbon we do emit, and investing in carbon offsets to fund projects that neutralize our footprint.
